Amen FM holds the distinction of being the first Tamil Christian satellite live radio station. Established on February 14, 2004, by Sis. Carmen Lawrence, it represents a significant milestone in the broadcasting landscape for the Tamil Christian community. Bro. Lawrence Joseph, driven by an early aspiration to enter the broadcasting industry, began his journey as a radio jockey at the secular station Oli FM in 1994. However, significant divine inspiration led to the establishment of Amen FM.

The vision for Amen FM was placed in Sis. Carmen Lawrence’s heart, and since its inception, the station has evolved and expanded in numerous impactful ways. As documented in Genesis 24:50—“This is from the Lord”—Amen FM is recognized as a ministry dedicated to serving its audience. The radio ministry has been a conduit for many reported miracles and is noted for its ability to connect listeners with their faith.

Bro. Lawrence and Sis. Carmen have dedicated themselves to this endeavor, operating independently of any specific church or denomination. Their commitment reflects a profound passion for broadcasting that resonates throughout their programming. Additionally, Amen FM is registered as a charity with the Canada Revenue Agency, further solidifying its standing as a genuine ministry within the community.
